Sleepy night, I’m in your sight,
Your silent whisper woos me.
I will succumb, to your beating drum,
Your comforting rhythm soothes me.
Before too long, I’m in your throng,
I slowly drift away.
I dream of all the strangest things,
Reality has no say.
And then the dawn, brings forth the morn,
It blasts me with its harshness.
I want to stay, in sleep’s embrace,
All warm and safe and harmless.
